October marks the beginning of Small Business Month, but there’s always time to celebrate local, small businesses in Saskatchewan. They are very often the lifeblood of our communities. SaskTel is proud to work closely with small businesses from a variety of industries and are excited to announce our Small Business Spotlight promotion!

In preparation for October, we’re asking you to nominate a small business that has had a big impact on you. Whether it’s your own business, a business that offered you remarkable customer service, or a business that is active in enriching our communities, we want to hear from you. Once we have a list of nominations, a panel of judges at SaskTel will evaluate and curate a list of finalists. Then, voting will open to the public to see who they want to win a Spotlight prize.

Promotion Details

To enter, nominate a local business that:

We will have two winners of this promotion. The grand prize winner will have their business featured in a promotional Spotlight Video in cooperation with SaskTel. Additionally, they will be given $2,000 worth of DirectWest billboard space, with the marketing creative developed free of charge!

The runner-up will be featured in a 2-page print story and digital article in a local Saskatchewan publication. They will also be given $1,000 worth of DirectWest billboard space!

Disclaimers

• An individual can nominate a business only once but can nominate any number of businesses for consideration.
• Business owners can nominate their own business.
• Businesses with 100 or fewer employees and operates independently of a larger corporation are eligible to enter.
• The deadline for nominations is September 29^th, 2023.
• To submit your nomination for the Small Business Spotlight, please use the following Microsoft Form.
• After all entries have been received, an internal panel at SaskTel will curate a list of the top 10 nominated businesses based on the following weighted criteria:
  • 25% Innovation and Uniqueness
  • 25% Demonstration of Customer Satisfaction
  • 25% Community Involvement
  • 25% Total Votes Received
  • The nominated business must be a current SaskTel Business customer as of September 29^th, 2023, to be eligible to move on to the next round of voting.
• The final round of voting will occur during the period of October 10^th – October 24^th, 2023, for the top 10 businesses selected.
• SaskTel is the final judge and decision-maker in determining the winners of this promotion. Prize winner selection will largely be influenced by the total number of votes received in the final round of voting, but SaskTel will, in determining the winners, give additional consideration to businesses in communities with smaller population sizes.
• SaskTel reserves the right to cancel or otherwise modify the terms of this promotion at any time and for any reason in SaskTel’s discretion.
• SaskTel is the sole sponsor of this promotion.
